Where to start
The purpose of a CV
Why do I need to have a CV?
The purpose of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) is to give potential employers an overview of your work and training history and get a sense of your work ethic. What drives you? How have you made a difference in your current and past employment? What are your ambitions? Sometimes you may be asked for a CV when applying for particular training courses.
Not all employers ask for a CV. Whether you need to create a CV or not will often depend on the type of job that you apply for.
It's common for some people to reach the end of their current career in the horseracing industry to find they are asked for a CV for the first time.
